Vamonos NOLA! "Let's Go NOLA!" At Vamonos NOLA, we are committed to providing a summer camp where children learn Spanish, express themselves, develop as leaders and fully experience the fun of being a kid. It was our own children that inspired both the name of Vamonos NOLA as well as what makes camp FUN! So, thanks to the young experts, your camper will be immersed in language and won't even realize how much Spanish they are learning as they run, dance, swim, craft, cook, sing, tumble and play their day away! As moms with over 20 years of experience in education, we also know the qualities we look for when we send our kids into someone else's care. These things: small groups, personal attention, loving teachers, communication, a safe and healthy environment are all tenets of our program. Our staff of fully fluent, speakers are CPR certified and are each supported by a mentor teacher and/or volunteer. We are proud to support our program with an ADULT to child ratio of 8 to 1. Knowing that these foundations are in place gives us the opportunity to create a space where kids not only learn Spanish, but they know themselves as a contribution through our Team Building and Community Service programs embedded in the camp experience. To fully reap the benefits of immersion, we encourage our campers (by offering $100 a week OFF) to spend the entire summer with us, AND we understand the dynamics of a family's schedule, which is why we offer flexible, biweekly sessions for kids ages 3 (potty trained)-12 years old. The fun begins at 8:00am- 3:00pm with aftercare until 5:00pm each day. Come and see for yourself at our Open House on May 1st from 4:00pm-7:00pm at 6200 St. Charles Ave. Reserve your spot now and take advantage of our Early Bird Special. Then, be prepared to have your child come home with an ear to ear smile after having a FANTASTIC time at Vamonos NOLA... and don't be surprised when you hear them speaking Spanish in their sleep!
